3" Galvanized Union for Pipe Systems

The Legend Valve 352-450 is a 3-inch galvanized union designed to join two sections of female NPT threaded pipe. It allows straightforward assembly and disassembly for maintenance or reconfiguration of plumbing installations. The fitting is supplied new and carries California Proposition 65 warnings for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Installers needing a detachable 3" FNPT connection

This union suits plumbers and maintenance crews who require a removable joint on 3-inch galvanized piping with female threads on both ends. It is not intended for systems using male-threaded ends, press-fit, push-fit, soldered, flanged or grooved connections, nor for applications that demand stainless steel, brass or plastic materials.

3-inch female NPT galvanized union

The single deciding specification is the 3-inch FNPT x FNPT galvanized configuration; only pipework matching that exact size, thread type and material will assemble correctly with this fitting.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 3" galvanized union is sealing correctly after installation?

Pressurize the line and check the FNPT x FNPT joint for leaks; a dry thread seal indicates the union is working as intended.

What comes with the Legend Valve 352-450 union and what must I supply?

The box contains the 3" galvanized union only; you must provide pipe thread sealant or tape and the mating FNPT pipes.

Which version of the 352-450 should I choose for a 3" FNPT connection?

Select the 3" SA galvanized union listed as FNPT x FNPT; it matches a 3-inch female pipe thread on both ends.
