Galvanised Hex Bushing 3 x 2-1/2
This galvanised hex bushing connects a 3-inch female thread to a 2-1/2-inch male thread in water-supply systems. It is intended for plumbers and maintenance teams joining dissimilar pipe sizes. The transparent coating shows the galvanised surface underneath.
Replaces worn or mismatched bushings
Swap it in when an existing reducer leaks, corrodes or no longer matches the pipe schedule. The jump is worth it if the current fitting cannot seal the transition between the two diameters. No other pipe sizes are served by this model.
Holds seal under constant pressure
The galvanised steel resists corrosion during continuous water flow and temperature cycling. Threads maintain engagement without rounding off during repeated disassembly. The fitting is not suited for gas lines or chemical service.

Questions about this item
What pipe sizes does the 3 x 2-1/2 hex bushing connect?
The bushing joins a 3 inch female NPT thread to a 2-1/2 inch male NPT thread.
How do I install the galvanized hex bushing without damaging the threads?
Apply thread sealant to the male end, hand-tighten, then finish with a wrench on the hex flats; over-tightening cracks the fitting.
When should I replace the galvanized hex bushing in a plumbing system?
Replace it if you see white zinc corrosion, leaks at the joint, or restricted flow from internal buildup.
