Copper Reducing Tee 450-241
This Legend Valve fitting joins three copper pipes in a T configuration with sweat connections on every port. It suits residential and light-commercial plumbing where a 2-inch branch reduces from two 1-1/4-inch mains.
Sweat-joint limitations
Each port requires clean, fluxed copper tube and a propane or MAPP torch to form a leak-free joint. The fitting cannot be used with press, push-fit or threaded systems without additional adapters.
Installation notes
Overheating can anneal the copper and weaken the joint, while insufficient heat leaves voids in the solder. Proper tube preparation and even heating are the main factors that prevent callbacks.

Questions about this item
Which Legend Valve 450-241 tee size should I pick for my copper lines?
The fitting is a 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 2" copper reducing tee with C x C x C sweat connections, so choose it when your branch line steps down from two 1-1/4" runs to a 2" run.
How does the 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 2" sizing work once the tee is soldered in place?
Each port is sized for copper tube ID; the two 1-1/4" ends accept 1-1/4" tube and the 2" end accepts 2" tube, giving a smooth reduction at the branch.
What does the C x C x C connection standard mean for installation?
All three outlets are female sweat sockets, so you solder copper tube directly into each port without adapters or threaded fittings.
