This copper reducing tee joins three pipe sections in a single fitting. It suits plumbers and installers working on water-supply systems that require a branch from a main run. The sweat connection type is made for standard copper tubing installations.

3 inch run with 2 inch branch

The fitting reduces from a 3 inch main line to a 2 inch outlet while keeping the straight run at 3 inch. Inside diameters measure 3 inch by 3 inch by 2 inch and outside diameters measure 3-1/8 inch by 3-1/8 inch by 2-1/8 inch. It will not suit systems that need equal-sized outlets or larger branch diameters.

C x C x C sweat connections

All three ports are female sweat ends for soldered copper joints. This connection method decides whether the tee fits the piping material and installation practice on site. Buyers who need threaded, press-fit or push-fit ends cannot use this fitting.
