2" F1960 PPSU Coupling

The Legend Valve 461-912 is a 2-inch F1960 PPSU coupling designed to join two F1960 PEX pipes in a straight line. It is intended for cold-expansion PEX systems found in recreational vehicles and similar plumbing installations.

Suitable for F1960 cold-expansion systems

This coupling suits installers working with F1960 cold-expansion PEX tubing who need a direct PPSU joint. It is not for systems that use a different connection method or pipe size, and it does not adapt between dissimilar fitting standards.

F1960 PPSU specification

The fitting is manufactured from PPSU and carries the F1960 designation for cold-expansion PEX connections. The product bears a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 461-912 coupling or another size for my 2" PEX tubing?

The 461-912 model is made for 2" PEX, so choose it when your tubing matches that diameter; other sizes exist for different tubing diameters.

What does the F1960 label tell me about how this coupling performs once installed?

F1960 is the ASTM standard for cold-expansion PEX fittings, meaning the coupling is designed to seal by expanding the tube over the barb with an expansion tool.

Does the F1960 interface limit the pressure or temperature this coupling can handle?

The F1960 standard itself sets the dimensional and material requirements; the actual pressure and temperature limits come from the PPSU material and the tubing you pair with it.
