Scale and subject

This 1/1000 scale diecast model reproduces the USS Yorktown (CV-5), a World War II US Navy aircraft carrier. It is aimed at adult collectors and military-history enthusiasts who want an accurate display piece.

Construction and display

Diecast metal and plastic give the model a heavy, realistic feel while the detailed exterior stays true to scale. A supplied stand holds the ship securely, though the hull has no openings and the six included aircraft are fixed for static display only.

Upgrade context

The model replaces smaller plastic kits or less detailed replicas that lack official licensing and metal construction. Collectors seeking a ready-to-display, boxed piece with manufacturer packaging will find the jump worthwhile.
