Installed multi-room audio speakers

Legrand 3000 Series MS3800 8" in-ceiling speakers arrive as a pair for residential multi-room audio installations. Mica fiber woofers and PEI mylar tweeters deliver crisp, clear sound with low distortion. Foam gaskets minimise vibration and create an air-tight seal during ceiling mounting. The 6-ohm impedance suits typical home amplifiers.

Suits whole-house distribution; not for portable use

These speakers suit homeowners building affordable whole-house audio distribution with even, smooth frequency response from 50 to 20 K Hz. Installers gain a paintable grille that blends into ceilings. Buyers who need weatherproof outdoor models, portable Bluetooth playback or powered speakers with built-in amplification should consider other product types.

6-ohm impedance matches typical home amplifiers

The 6-ohm nominal impedance determines compatibility with most residential stereo amplifiers and multi-zone receivers. Sensitivity of 75 dB means moderate amplifier power achieves comfortable listening levels across rooms. Verify that your amplifier supports 6-ohm loads before purchase.

Questions about this item

What does the 50 to 20 K Hz frequency response mean for everyday listening?

It covers the full audible range so music and dialogue sound natural without obvious gaps at the bass or treble extremes.

How does the 6-ohm impedance affect amplifier matching?

Most home amplifiers rated for 4 to 8 ohms will drive the pair cleanly without overheating or current limiting.

What ceiling depth is required to mount the 8-inch in-ceiling speakers?

The frame fits standard joist bays and needs only the depth of the speaker body itself, typically under four inches of clearance.
