Hybrid Instant Digital Camera

The Leica Sofort 2 combines a 2.4mm f/2 lens with a 1/5" CMOS sensor to capture 4.9MP images. It prints directly to instant film while storing digital files on a microSD card or in 45-shot internal memory. The 3-inch TFT LCD lets you preview every frame before you commit to a print. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers both shooting and printing functions.

Simple Setup With App Pairing

Charge the battery, insert a film pack and a microSD card, then power on. The on-screen menu guides language and date selection in seconds. Pairing with the Leica FOTOS app over Bluetooth enables remote shutter control and wireless image transfer. The only common snag is forgetting to enable Bluetooth permissions on the phone, which blocks the initial connection.

Check Film Stock And Storage First

The bundle includes 20 sheets of instant film; additional packs must match the camera’s format. Verify you have a microSD card if you plan to shoot beyond the 45-image internal buffer. The wide 28mm-equivalent lens suits groups and landscapes, but close-up portrait work will need the selfie mirror or app preview. Ensure a USB-C charger is handy for the lithium-ion cell.
