ThinkPad T450S refurbished Ultrabook

This Lenovo ThinkPad T450S is a 14.0 inch business Ultrabook sold in refurbished Grade B condition. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.3 GHz with 8GB memory and a 256GB SATA SSD. The unit ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and includes an AC adapter.

Integrated graphics and connectivity

Integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500 handles display output without a discrete GPU. Wireless 802.11ac provides Wi-Fi connectivity while three USB ports and audio ports support peripherals. The specification notes that Bluetooth and touchscreen are not included.

12 GB memory ceiling

Maximum supported memory is 12 GB, so the installed 8GB leaves only 4 GB of headroom for future upgrades. Buyers who need more storage or more RAM headroom should consider other models.

Questions about this item

Can the 8 GB memory be expanded later?

Yes, the system supports up to 12 GB so an additional 4 GB module can be installed.

What limits sustained performance first on the i5-5300U?

The dual-core 2.3 GHz processor and integrated HD 5500 graphics reach thermal limits before the 256 GB SATA SSD does.

How loud and hot does it get during an all-day workload?

The 14.0" Ultrabook chassis relies on a single fan; expect audible spin-up and warm palm rests under continuous load.
