Connectivity and power delivery

This Lenovo USB-C to USB-C cable links two USB-C ports with a male-to-male design. It carries a 5 Gbps data signal and delivers up to 60 W of power at 20 V and 3 A. The 2 m length provides flexible placement for docks, monitors and peripherals. A built-in strap keeps the cable tidy when coiled.

Suitable uses and limits

It suits users who need a single cable for 4K video output, data transfer and charging up to 60 W. It works with USB-C docks, monitors and Chrome OS devices that meet Google compatibility standards. Buyers who need higher power delivery for larger laptops or faster data rates for external SSDs should look at a cable rated for those specifications.

Deciding specification

The 60 W power rating is the single figure that determines whether this cable can charge a given device. Check the power requirement of the laptop or peripheral before purchase. If the device draws more than 60 W, this cable will not supply enough power.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 2 m USB-C male-to-male cable to a dock or monitor, and what step is often missed?

Plug each Type-C male end into the host and the peripheral; the step users forget is verifying both ports support 5 Gbps data and 20 V / 3 A 60 W power before relying on video or charging.

What upkeep will the 2 m cable need over time?

Inspect the black Type-C connectors and the included strap for wear; replace the cable if the 5 Gbps link or 60 W charging becomes unreliable.

What limit appears first during continuous 60 W charging through the 2 m cable?

The 20 V / 3 A rating caps sustained power at 60 W, so the cable itself is the bottleneck before the host or device reaches its own thermal ceiling.
