Built for mobile professionals

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 is a 15.3 inch laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 8540U processor and AMD Radeon 740M graphics. It ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed. The chassis measures 13.52 by 9.43 by 0.70 inches and weighs 3.59 lbs in Luna Grey.

Sustained workload behaviour

The processor runs at a 3.20 GHz base frequency and can boost to 4.90 GHz during demanding tasks. A 60 Wh three-cell battery supplies power for extended sessions away from a socket. The IPS touch display delivers 300 nits brightness and covers 45 percent NTSC colour volume. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 maintain stable wireless links throughout the day.

Deciding specification

The WUXGA touchscreen resolves 1920 by 1200 pixels at a 60 Hz refresh rate with an anti-glare finish. Buyers who need a higher colour gamut or a faster panel for colour-critical work should consider other models. Connectivity includes two USB-A 5 Gbps ports, one USB-C 5 Gbps port with power delivery and DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4, a micro SD reader and a combo audio jack.
