Built for gaming and multimedia

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y500 pairs a Core i7-3630QM processor with a discrete NVIDIA GT650M graphics card. A 15.6 inch 1920x1080 display, 8GB DDR3 memory and a 500GB solid-state drive support gaming and creative workloads. Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is pre-installed.

Aluminium chassis with versatile Ultrabay

The black chassis weighs up to 5.9 lbs and includes a Blu-ray RW drive in the removable Ultrabay slot. Three USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4, an HD webcam and a backlit keyboard handle daily connectivity. The ThinkPad UltraNav touchpad adds precise navigation.

Discrete graphics manage thermals under load

The GT650M handles rendering while the CPU reaches 3.4GHz turbo speeds. Fan noise rises during extended gaming sessions but remains moderate for typical multimedia use. The 500GB SSD keeps boot times fast and power draw lower than mechanical drives.
