ThinkCentre M70q Tiny desktop

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q is a Tiny form-factor business desktop built around an Intel Core i5-14400T processor. It ships with Windows 11 Pro, 32 GB of memory and a 512 GB NVMe drive. The chassis weighs 3 lbs and fits discreetly on a desk or behind a display.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Ideal for office workers, students and home users who need a compact, quiet PC for everyday productivity, video calls and multi-monitor setups via DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1. Buyers who need internal expansion slots, discrete graphics or a larger storage bay should consider a different form factor.

The spec that decides fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 512 GB NVMe capacity; if your applications and local files exceed that space you will need external storage or a larger internal drive.

Questions about this item

Which display cables do I need to connect monitors to the DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 outputs on this M70q Tiny?

You need a DisplayPort cable for the 1.4a port and an HDMI cable for the 2.1 port; both connectors are on the rear of the unit.

Will my existing DisplayPort 1.2 monitor work with the DisplayPort 1.4a port on this system?

Yes, the DisplayPort 1.4a output is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 displays, so your current monitor will function normally.

How can I confirm the Intel Core i5-14400T is running at its 1.50 GHz base frequency after I set up Windows 11 Pro?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and verify the base speed reads 1.50 GHz.
