Legion 5 15 WQXGA 165Hz gaming laptop

The Lenovo Legion 5 15 combines a 15.1 inch WQXGA panel at 165Hz with an Intel Core i7-14700HX 20-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 GPU. 32GB of DDR5 4800 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD complete the platform. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2021 licence ship pre-installed.

Suited to competitive shooters and content creators

The high refresh 2560 x 1600 display and 20-thread CPU suit fast-paced gaming and multi-tasking creative workloads. Buyers who need a touchscreen, an SD card reader or a lighter chassis should look elsewhere. The 4.19 lb weight and 0.85 inch profile remain portable for a 15.1 inch class machine.

RTX 5060 8GB GDDR7 graphics decide fit

The laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 memory sets the performance ceiling for modern titles at native resolution. If the target workload demands more video memory or a higher GPU tier, this configuration will not match those requirements.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Legion 5 15 chassis for bag or sleeve fit?

The laptop measures 13.58 x 10.05 x 0.85 inches and weighs 4.19 lbs, so choose a sleeve or backpack compartment rated for at least a 15.1" device with those clearances.

How do I access the internals for an SSD or memory upgrade, and what step is often missed?

Remove all visible base screws, then gently pry the bottom panel from the front edge; the step many miss is disconnecting the battery cable before lifting the panel fully.

Which components can be replaced later and what specifications must the replacements match?

The 2TB PCIe SSD and 32GB DDR5 4800 memory are user-replaceable; any new SSD must be PCIe form-factor and any new memory must be DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM.
