Ready-to-game laptop for competitive players

The Lenovo Legion 5i 15 ships with Windows 11 Pro and Office 2024 already licensed, so it boots straight to a usable desktop. A 15.1 inch OLED panel running at 165 Hz gives fast motion clarity for esports titles. The Intel Core i7-14700HX with 20 cores and 28 threads pairs with an RTX 5070 8 GB GPU for high frame rates at 2560 x 1600 resolution.

Ports and wireless work out of the box

No internal assembly is required because the system arrives fully built and tested. The only common snag is driver updates for the Wi-Fi 7 adapter; running Windows Update once resolves most connectivity quirks. All video outputs — HDMI 2.1, two USB-C ports with DisplayPort 1.4 and 2.1, plus USB-A — are live immediately.

1 TB PCIe SSD decides storage headroom

The single 1 TB PCIe drive holds the operating system, applications and a modest game library without extra drives. If you install many large titles, expect to add external storage or replace the drive later. No secondary drive bay is mentioned in the specifications.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 15.1" OLED panel is running at its native 165Hz refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Settings > System > Display > Advanced display and confirm the refresh-rate dropdown shows 165 Hz; the OLED panel's 2560 x 1600 resolution should also be listed as the recommended mode.

What ships in the box and which upgrades require a separate purchase?

The laptop, power adapter and documentation are included; the 32 GB DDR5 memory and 1 TB PCIe SSD are already installed, so no RAM or storage upgrades need to be bought separately.

Which configuration should I choose if I want the 20-core i7-14700HX with RTX 5070 graphics and a 165 Hz OLED screen?

The listed model combines the 20-core Intel Core i7-14700HX, GeForce RTX 5070 8 GB GPU, 32 GB DDR5, 1 TB SSD and the 15.1" 2560 x 1600 OLED 165 Hz display in a single SKU.
