15.1-inch OLED gaming laptop

The Lenovo Legion 5i 15 is a 15.1-inch gaming laptop built around a 2560 x 1600 OLED panel running at 165 Hz. An Intel Core i7-14700HX processor with 20 cores and 28 threads powers the system, reaching 5.5 GHz on the performance cores. Graphics come from an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU with 8 GB of video memory.

32 GB DDR5 and 4 TB PCIe storage

This configuration suits buyers who want a high-refresh OLED screen, 32 GB of DDR5 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD in a single chassis. The 4.4-pound weight and 0.85-inch profile make it portable enough for LAN events, but the 8 GB GPU frame buffer and lack of an SD card reader may steer content creators toward a workstation-class alternative.

RTX 5070 8 GB graphics decides fit

The GeForce RTX 5070 with 8 GB of dedicated video memory is the specification that determines whether this laptop matches the workload. It drives the 2.5K OLED display at high frame rates in modern titles, while the 10 Gbps USB-C ports with DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1 support external monitors up to 8K resolution.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the Legion 5i 15 chassis so I can check bag fit?

The laptop measures 13.58 x 10.05 x 0.85 inches and weighs 4.4 pounds, so a sleeve or backpack compartment sized for a 15.1 inch device will accommodate it.

Which screw type secures the bottom cover for RAM or SSD access?

The base is held by standard Phillips-head screws; the common mistake is not removing every screw hidden under the rear rubber feet before prying the panel.

How often should the cooling vents and fans be cleaned on this model?

Blow compressed air through the side and rear vents every three to six months; the 165 Hz OLED panel and RTX 5070 GPU push sustained heat that dust can trap.
