Core hardware and audience

The Legion 5i Gen 10 pairs a 24-core Intel Core i9-14900HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU carrying 8GB GDDR7 memory. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe M.2 SSD complete the platform. A 15.1-inch OLED panel at 2560 x 1600 resolution and 165 Hz refresh targets gamers and creators who need colour-accurate HDR output in a portable chassis.

Upgrade path and value point

Moving from an earlier 8-core or 14-core mobile processor to this 24-core design adds 32 threads and a 5.80 GHz P-core maximum, cutting compile times and heavy multitask latency. The RTX 5070 delivers 4608 CUDA cores and 115W graphics power with a 15W boost, so the jump pays off when workloads scale beyond 60 fps at 1440p or when AI-assisted tools demand 798 TOPS of local inference throughput.

Sustained-load behaviour

An 80Whr battery supports Super Rapid Charge reaching 70 percent in under 30 minutes, while the cooling solution maintains 115W GPU output during extended sessions. The OLED display covers 100% DCI-P3 and 100% sRGB at 500 nits with VESA True Black 600 certification, so colour volume stays consistent even after hours of rendering. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 keep wireless throughput stable when the system is fully loaded.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 15.1" OLED chassis so I can check bag fit?

The aluminium-lid chassis measures 13.58 x 10.05 x 0.84 inches and weighs 4.1 lbs, so verify your sleeve or backpack compartment against those figures before buying.

Which screw type and drive opening steps are required to reach the DDR5 SO-DIMM slots and the PCIe Gen 4x4 M.2 socket?

Remove the ten Phillips-head screws on the bottom cover, then pry from the front edge; the memory slots and the single M.2 2280 slot sit under the metal shield — re-seat the shield before replacing screws.

How often should the 80 Whr battery be calibrated to keep Super Rapid Charge hitting 70 % in under 30 minutes?

Run a full discharge-to-shutdown then uninterrupted charge to 100 % once every 30 days; this keeps the fuel gauge accurate so the 0-70 % rapid-charge window remains reliable.
