Minimalist Gaming Keyboard

The Lenovo Legion K500 is a full-size mechanical keyboard built for gamers who prefer a clean, no-frills layout. It uses linear red mechanical switches rated for 50 million clicks and offers 16.8 million RGB colours per key. A detachable palm rest and 1.8 m braided cable complete the package.

Thermals Noise Power

As a wired USB keyboard the K500 draws minimal power directly from the host port and produces no audible fan noise or measurable heat during normal operation. The linear switches provide a smooth, quiet keystroke without tactile click sound. No active cooling or external power supply is required.

Media Keys Game Mode Software

Seven dedicated media keys and a Game Mode key let you control playback and disable selected keys to prevent accidental presses while playing. Per-key RGB lighting is customisable through Lenovo Legion software, enabling personalised colour profiles and effects. The 104-key rollover with 100% anti-ghosting ensures every simultaneous input registers accurately.

Questions about this item

How do I connect the 1.8 m braided cable, and what step do people often miss?

Plug the USB connector directly into a PC port; the step people miss is pressing the dedicated Game Mode key once after connection so the 100 % anti-ghosting and 104-key rollover are active.

Which part of the Legion K500 will need replacement first after heavy use?

The red linear switches are rated for 50 million clicks, so the key switches are the first component likely to wear out under sustained gaming.

What limit appears first during long sessions with the 16.8 million-color RGB lighting?

The 1.8 m cable length restricts how far the keyboard can sit from the host, and the fixed 1.31 in profile limits palm-rest height adjustment during extended play.
