16-inch OLED gaming laptop

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 is a 16-inch gaming laptop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor and a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8GB gddr7 memory. It runs Windows 11 Pro on 64 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5600 MHz and stores data on a 4 TB SSD. The Eclipse Black chassis houses a 2560x1600 OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits brightness and full 100 DCI-P3 colour coverage.

Buyers needing touch input

This machine suits gamers and creators who want high-refresh OLED visuals, a 24-zone RGB keyboard and Wi-Fi 7 plus Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity in a portable 16-inch form factor. Buyers who require touchscreen interaction or a different display aspect ratio will not find those features here. The 96 GB memory ceiling also limits users planning extreme RAM-heavy workloads beyond the installed 64 GB.

2560x1600 165Hz OLED panel

The single specification that decides fit is the 16-inch 2560x1600 OLED display running at 165Hz with HDR 1000 True Black and 500 nits brightness. If your workflow or games demand this exact resolution, refresh rate and OLED contrast in a 16-inch size, the panel matches the requirement; if you need a different resolution, refresh rate or panel technology, this laptop will not meet that need.

Questions about this item

Will the 9955HX processor throttle during long gaming sessions?

The 9955HX runs at 2.50 GHz base and can boost to 5.40 GHz. Sustained clocks depend on the cooling solution built into this 16-inch chassis.

How loud are the fans and how hot does the keyboard area get under full load?

The 24-zone RGB keyboard sits above the vapour-chamber cooling that handles the 9955HX and RTX 5060 together. Surface temperatures and fan RPM vary with workload and fan-curve settings in Legion software.

Does the 4 TB SSD use a standard M.2 slot so I can add another drive later?

The 4 TB PCIe SSD occupies one M.2 slot. The platform supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, indicating additional M.2 expansion is available per the service manual.
