Built for competitive gaming and heavy workflows

The Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU and 32 GB DDR5 memory. A 1 TB PCIe SSD provides fast storage for large game libraries and project files. The 16-inch WQXGA OLED display targets users who need high refresh rates and accurate colour for both play and creative work.

Display limited by panel refresh and GPU output

The 165 Hz OLED panel caps the maximum visible frame rate regardless of GPU headroom. HDR 1000 True Black and 500 nits brightness are bound to the display hardware, not the interface. Wi-Fi 7 2x2 BE 160 MHz and Bluetooth 5.4 set the wireless throughput ceiling for peripherals and network play.

GPU memory decides 1440p texture headroom

The RTX 5070 Laptop GPU includes 8 GB GDDR7 video memory. That capacity determines whether high-resolution textures fit in VRAM or spill to system RAM at 2560 x 1600 resolution. If your titles exceed 8 GB VRAM at target settings, performance will drop.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 32 GB DDR5 model or look for a different capacity?

This unit ships with 32 GB of DDR5 memory soldered to the board, so the capacity is fixed at purchase.

The Ryzen 9 9955HX is listed at 2.5 GHz base and 5.4 GHz boost — what does that mean when I am actually gaming?

The processor runs at 2.50 GHz under steady load and can lift single cores to 5.40 GHz for short bursts, giving quick response in game logic and background tasks.

The spec sheet says Wi-Fi 7 2x2 BE 160MHz — what real-world ceiling does that put on my connection?

The 2x2 160 MHz Wi-Fi 7 link can reach multi-gigabit throughput in ideal conditions, though actual speed depends on router, distance and interference.
