Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 with Ryzen 9 9955HX

This 16-inch laptop combines an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor running at up to 5.40 GHz with 96 GB of DDR5 memory and a 2 TB SSD. A dedicated NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory handles graphics. The system ships with Windows 11 Pro in an Eclipse Black chassis.

Suited for gamers and creators needing high

The 16-inch WQXGA OLED panel delivers a 2560 x 1600 resolution at 165 Hz with 500 nits brightness and full DCI-P3 coverage. A 24-zone RGB keyboard aids low-light use. Buyers who require a larger screen or a touch display should look elsewhere.

Deciding spec: 165 Hz WQXGA OLED panel

The display combines a fast 165 Hz refresh rate with OLED contrast and HDR 1000 True Black performance. This makes it the defining feature for competitive gaming and colour-critical work. If a lower refresh rate or a non-OLED panel is acceptable, other models may fit better.

Questions about this item

Will the 96 GB DDR5 memory need to be upgraded later, or is it already at the maximum supported capacity?

The system already reaches the 96 GB maximum supported capacity, so no further memory upgrade is possible.

Under sustained load, which limit appears first — the CPU peak of 5.40 GHz or the GPU GDDR7 memory bandwidth?

The AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX tops out at 5.40 GHz, and that ceiling is reached before the dedicated RTX 5060 GDDR7 memory becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the Eclipse Black chassis get when the 165 Hz OLED panel and RTX 5060 run all day?

The 16-inch WQXGA OLED screen runs at 500 nits and 165 Hz while the RTX 5060 draws power continuously, so the cooling system works hardest during extended sessions.
