Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T460s is a 14.0" refurbished ultrabook built for mobile professionals who need a durable, managed device. It runs Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor with 4 MB L3 cache. The chassis meets military-specification tests for rugged daily transport. Integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 handles display output on the non-touch screen.

Dual-core i7-6600U sets the performance ceiling

The Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor is the single specification that decides whether this ultrabook fits the workload. It provides enough throughput for office suites, web apps and remote desktop sessions. Heavy multi-threaded tasks such as video encoding or virtualisation will saturate both cores quickly. Buyers who need sustained multi-core performance should look elsewhere.

12 GB memory and 256 GB SSD define daily headroom

The 12 GB shared system memory and 256 GB SSD comfortably handle typical business multitasking and local document storage. Memory pressure appears when many browser tabs, large spreadsheets and background services run together. The SSD fills fast with offline mail archives, media caches or multiple VM images. Users who want more storage or memory headroom will need a different configuration.
