Refurbished 14" business laptop

This refurbished Lenovo T420 delivers a dual-core Intel Core i5-2520M at 2.5 GHz with 4 GB of memory and a 320 GB hard drive. It runs Windows 7 Professional on a 14.0-inch 1366 x 768 display. The system targets office users who need a traditional keyboard and legacy OS compatibility.

DVD-RW and eSATA connectivity

The built-in DVD-RW drive reads and writes optical media for software installation or archiving. An eSATA/USB combo port adds fast external storage access alongside two standard USB ports, VGA and DisplayPort outputs. Wireless 802.11b/g/n handles network connections without extra adapters.

4 GB RAM and 320 GB storage headroom

The 4 GB memory handles single business applications and light multitasking, but limits heavier workloads or modern browser loads. The 320 GB hard drive stores documents and local files, yet fills quickly with large media libraries or virtual machines. Windows 7 Professional reaches end-of-support, so internet-facing use carries security risk.

Questions about this item

Is the 320 GB hard drive user-replaceable if it fails or fills up?

The 2.5-inch mechanical drive can be swapped by removing the bottom panel, so a larger or solid-state replacement fits without special tools.

What limits the Core i5-2520M during long compiles or renders?

The dual-core 2.5 GHz processor reaches its thermal ceiling first, causing the firmware to lower clocks until temperatures drop.

How loud and hot does the 14.0 inch chassis get when left on all day?

The fan stays audible but low at idle; under continuous load it spins higher and the keyboard deck warms noticeably above the CPU area.
