Physical Security Cable Lock

The Lenovo ThinkPad Cable Lock secures laptops docking stations desktops and flat panel monitors against theft in enterprise offices and shared workspaces. Its five foot ultra strength carbon tempered steel cable resists cutting while the patented T bar locking mechanism delivers high security locking and unlocking. The thin lock head design fits ultrabook and ultrathin form factors without blocking adjacent ports.

Capacity and Headroom

The five foot cable length provides enough reach to anchor devices to desk legs or fixed furniture in typical office layouts. The tempered steel core handles standard physical attack attempts but will not stop determined cutting with heavy tools. The lock is designed for single device security and does not support daisy chaining multiple units together.

Bundled Accessories and Software

The package includes the cable lock unit and two keys for immediate deployment. A one year manufacturer warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. No software installation or management console is required the lock operates purely through its mechanical keyed mechanism.

Questions about this item

Will the thin lock head fit the Kensington slot on my older ThinkPad and a new ultrabook?

The special thin lock head is designed for ultrabook and ultrathin computers while still fitting standard Kensington slots on older laptops and docking stations.

How do I verify the lock is properly engaged after attaching it?

The patented T-bar locking mechanism clicks into place; a firm tug on the cable should show no movement at the lock head.

Does the package include a mounting anchor or only the lock and cable?

The box contains the cable lock with keys; a separate anchor plate or desk mount must be purchased if you need a fixed attachment point.
