Purpose-built work laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 is a 15.6-inch Windows 11 Pro notebook aimed at office workers and students who need a reliable daily driver. It pairs an 11th generation Intel Core i3-1115G4 dual-core processor with 16GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The 1920 x 1080 non-touch display and integrated graphics handle documents, web apps and video calls without fuss.

Stepping up from basics

This configuration replaces an 8GB machine or a hard-drive model when multitasking feels sluggish or boot times drag. The jump to 16GB RAM and solid-state storage is worth it if you keep dozens of browser tabs, Office files and background services open at once. The 4.1GHz turbo frequency helps burst through short spikes in workload.

Fit and limits

It suits buyers who want a traditional clamshell with a full keyboard, numeric pad and wired-network ready chassis for desk docking. Buyers who need a touchscreen, discrete graphics for creative rendering, or a lighter ultraportable for constant travel should look elsewhere. The 802.11ac wireless and Bluetooth cover standard peripheral and network needs.
