Mobile workstation for professional creators

The Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen 2 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation built for engineers, designers and analysts who need certified application stability. It pairs an 8-core Intel Core i7-11850H processor with 32 GB of memory and a 1 TB PCIe SSD. The NVIDIA T1200 discrete GPU adds 4 GB of video memory for 3D modelling and GPU-accelerated workloads.

Who should consider another system

Buyers who need a touchscreen or a higher-resolution panel for pixel-perfect retouching will not find those features here. The 4 GB GPU memory also limits users working with very large assemblies or multi-GPU render farms. Teams requiring a lighter chassis for daily commuting should evaluate thinner ultraportable alternatives.

Deciding spec: NVIDIA T1200 with 4 GB VRAM

The dedicated NVIDIA T1200 with 4 GB of video memory is the specification that determines suitability. It delivers certified driver support for professional CAD and DCC applications while fitting within the 15.6-inch FHD IPS 500-nit anti-glare display. If your ISV certification list demands more VRAM or a higher GPU tier, this configuration will not meet that requirement.
