16-inch 4K mobile workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad P16v Gen 2 is a 16-inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need colour-accurate visuals and certified graphics drivers. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor with an NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada GPU, 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe SSD. Windows 11 Pro 64-bit ships pre-installed with AI-powered Copilot features.

Thunderbolt 4 and 5MP IR camera

Two Thunderbolt 4 ports enable high-speed docking and dual external display support through a single cable. The 5MP IR webcam adds Windows Hello facial recognition and a physical privacy shutter for secure video calls. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 provide modern wireless connectivity, while HDMI 2.1 allows direct connection to 4K external monitors.

Check power and display requirements

The 90Whr battery supports rapid charging to 80 percent in one hour, so verify your existing USB-C chargers deliver sufficient power for mobile use. The 16:10 WQUXGA panel covers 100 percent DCI-P3 with HDR 400 and 800-nit brightness, which benefits colour-critical work but may exceed the needs of general office users. Confirm that your workflows require ISV-certified RTX Ada graphics before investing in this configuration.

Questions about this item

How long will the 90Whr battery last before it needs replacing?

The 90Whr battery supports fast charging to 80 percent in one hour; typical lithium-ion packs in this class retain useful capacity for several hundred full cycles before a replacement is considered.

What thermal limit appears first when the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H and NVIDIA RTX 1000 Ada run flat out?

The dual-fan cooling with rear exhaust is designed to manage sustained loads, so the CPU and GPU will throttle clock speeds before temperatures reach their maximum junction limits.

How loud are the fans and how hot does the chassis get during an all-day render?

The dual-fan system and rear vents keep surface temperatures comfortable for lap use while fan noise stays at a low background level under continuous workloads.
