Mobile workstation for data-intensive tasks

The ThinkPad P53 combines an Intel Core i7-9750H hexa-core processor running at 2.60 GHz with a turbo frequency of 4.5 GHz and 128GB DDR4 RAM. It targets engineers and researchers who need mobile rendering or AI workload capacity without a desktop chassis.

Dual-drive storage configuration

A 256GB NVME drive holds the operating system and active projects while a 4TB 2.5-inch SSD provides bulk capacity for datasets and archives. Linux Mint 64-bit is pre-installed and the fingerprint reader adds biometric login without extra hardware.

Aluminium-alloy chassis with 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel

The 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display reaches 500 nits brightness and covers 72% colour gamut with HDR Dolby Vision support. NVIDIA Quadro T1000 4GB graphics drive external monitors through the available video outputs while the dTPM encrypts data at rest.

Questions about this item

Will the 128GB DDR4 memory or the 256GB NVME plus 4TB 2.5-inch SSDs need replacement down the line?

The 128GB DDR4 and both the 256GB NVME and 4TB 2.5-inch SSDs are user-replaceable, so any future capacity or speed upgrades can be done by swapping modules or drives.

What limit appears first when the Core i7-9750H runs at 4.5GHz turbo for long periods?

Sustained 4.5GHz turbo on the 6-core Core i7-9750H will hit the thermal envelope before power delivery becomes the bottleneck.

How loud and hot does the Quadro T1000 4GB make the 15.6-inch chassis during all-day rendering?

The Quadro T1000 4GB and 6-core CPU share a dual-fan heat-pipe system; under continuous load fan noise remains office-quiet and surface temperatures stay comfortable for desk use.
