Mobile workstation with dual storage

The ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Pro. It combines an Intel Core i7-9750H hexa-core processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics. A 1TB NVME drive pairs with a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD for high-capacity local storage.

Sustained rendering and compute

The six-core CPU reaches 4.5 GHz turbo frequency with 12MB L2 cache for multi-threaded workloads. Quadro T2000 4GB video memory supports professional 3D and compute tasks. IPS display at 300 nits and 72% colour gamut maintains visual consistency during long sessions.

Dual-drive capacity decision

Total installed storage is 2TB split between NVME and 2.5-inch SSD form factors. Buyers who need a single larger volume or additional drive bays should verify expansion options before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the i7-9750H get during sustained all-day rendering?

The six-core i7-9750H runs at 2.60 GHz base with a 4.5 GHz turbo and 12 MB cache; the P53 chassis uses dual fans to manage that heat under continuous load.

What must I already own to use the 1 TB NVME and 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD bays?

Both drives are installed and the system ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, so no extra storage or OS licence is required to start working.

Will the Quadro T2000 4 GB drive my older 1920 x 1080 external monitor at 60 Hz?

Yes — the T2000 supports external displays up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz over the available video outputs.
