Mobile workstation for demanding workloads

The ThinkPad P53 combines a 6-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA Quadro T2000 graphics card. It targets professionals who need certified application performance in a 15.6" portable form factor. Linux Mint is pre-installed for immediate deployment.

Sustained performance with dual-storage design

The 256GB NVME drive handles operating system and active project files while the 1TB 2.5" SSD provides capacity for large datasets. IPS display technology delivers 72% colour gamut at 300 nits for consistent visual accuracy during extended rendering sessions. Discrete TPM encrypts data without impacting throughput.

Verify compatibility before ordering

Confirm your workflow runs on Linux Mint rather than Windows-dependent ISV certifications. The non-touch FHD panel suits colour-critical tasks but lacks pen input for direct annotation. Fingerprint reader provides biometric login integrated with the operating system. No optical drive is present for legacy media access.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the Intel Core i7-9750H get when rendering all day?

The 6-core processor reaches 4.5 GHz turbo and has a 12 MB cache, so sustained loads will spin the fans and warm the chassis; Linux Mint lets you tune governor profiles to trade noise for speed.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 256 GB NVME and 1 TB 2.5 inch SSD storage?

Both drives are installed internally; no extra cables are needed. The laptop ships with its AC adapter, so only a power outlet is required to start working.

Can I drive my older 1920 x 1080 monitor from the ThinkPad P53 without adapters?

The NVIDIA Quadro T2000 4 GB GPU supports external displays at 1920 x 1080; you will need the correct video cable for the port on the laptop, but no active adapter is required for that resolution.
