Mobile workstation for data-intensive tasks

The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a 15.6-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Pro. It targets professionals who need certified graphics performance for rendering and data-intensive AI projects. The system combines an Intel Core i7-9750H processor with an NVIDIA Quadro T1000 GPU.

Straightforward deployment with ThinkShield security

The laptop arrives with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed and ready for domain integration. ThinkShield features include a discrete Trusted Platform Module that encrypts data alongside the OS security stack. A fingerprint reader provides biometric login without extra configuration steps.

16GB DDR4 memory with 512GB NVME plus 4TB SSD

The platform ships with 16GB of DDR4 system memory and dual storage comprising a 512GB NVME drive and a 4TB 2.5-inch SSD. This capacity ceiling determines whether the machine can hold large local datasets without external drives.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Intel Core i7-9750H is running at its 4.5 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager in Windows 10 Pro and watch the Performance tab while running a heavy workload; the CPU frequency should climb toward 4.5 GHz on the 6-core processor.

Which storage drives are already installed and what would I need to add for extra capacity?

The laptop ships with a 512 GB NVME drive plus a 4 TB 2.5-inch SSD, so both slots are occupied; adding more storage would require replacing one of the existing drives.

Which display option matches the 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel listed in the specs?

Choose the 15.6" Full HD IPS configuration with 300 nits brightness, 72% color gamut and anti-glare coating — it is the only screen variant described for this model.
