Workstation for rendering and AI

The ThinkPad P53 mobile workstation pairs an Intel Core i7-9750H six-core processor with an NVIDIA Quadro T2000 4GB GPU. It ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, 32GB DDR4 memory and dual storage comprising a 512GB NVME drive plus a 1TB 2.5-inch SSD. A fingerprint reader and 15.6-inch FHD IPS display complete the package.

Sustained load on six cores and discrete graphics

The 2.60 GHz base clock and 4.5 GHz turbo frequency drive multi-threaded workloads across twelve megabytes of L2 cache. The Quadro T2000 provides dedicated video memory for professional rendering and data-intensive AI tasks. ThinkShield security with discrete TPM encryption protects data during extended sessions.

500-nit HDR display decides colour-critical fit

The 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS panel reaches 500 nits with Dolby Vision HDR and covers 72 percent colour gamut. This brightness and colour volume determine whether the screen meets outdoor or colour-accurate workflow needs. Buyers who need wider gamut coverage or touch input should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i7-9750H get when rendering all day?

The six-core i7-9750H runs at a 2.60 GHz base clock and can boost to 4.5 GHz under sustained load. The P53 chassis is built for mobile workstation thermals, so fan noise rises during long renders but stays within the design limits of a 15.6" workstation.

What must I already own to start working the moment the P53 arrives?

The laptop ships with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed, 32 GB of DDR4 memory, a 512 GB NVME drive plus a 1 TB 2.5-inch SSD, and a 15.6" FHD IPS display. Only a power outlet and your user credentials are required to begin.

Can I keep using my existing 1080p external monitor with this Quadro T2000?

Yes. The Quadro T2000 with 4 GB video memory drives external panels at 1920 x 1080 over the available video outputs, so a current 1080p monitor will work without adapters or scaling issues.
