Mobile workstation with hexa-core processor

The Lenovo ThinkPad P53 is a mobile workstation built around an Intel Core i7-9850H hexa-core processor reaching 4.6 GHz turbo frequency. It targets engineers and data scientists who need certified graphics and large memory capacity for rendering, simulation or AI workloads on the move.

Verify operating-system and storage layout

The unit ships with Linux Mint 64-bit installed rather than Windows, so confirm your software stack runs on that platform. Storage combines a 2TB NVME drive with a 2TB 2.5 inch SSD, providing 4TB total; ensure your backup strategy accounts for both volumes.

Sustained load on Quadro T1000 4GB

The NVIDIA Quadro T1000 with 4 GB video memory handles extended compute or render sessions without the throttling typical of brief benchmarks. The 15.6 inch FHD IPS panel at 300 nits and 72 percent colour gamut remains stable during long work periods, while the 128GB DDR4 memory prevents paging delays.

Questions about this item

Does the ThinkPad P53 come with the 2 TB NVME drive and 2 TB 2.5-inch SSD already installed, or must I add them myself?

Both drives are factory-installed — the 2 TB NVME and the 2 TB 2.5-inch SSD ship inside the laptop, so no extra storage purchase is needed.

Should I choose the 128 GB DDR4 configuration or look for a smaller memory option?

This unit ships with 128 GB of DDR4 memory already fitted; there is no smaller memory variant offered for this specific listing.

What does the 4.6 GHz turbo figure mean for everyday rendering on the Quadro T1000 4 GB?

The six-core i7-9850H can reach 4.6 GHz on short bursts, giving fast CPU pre-processing before the Quadro T1000 4 GB handles final frame output.
