17.3-inch mobile workstation

The Lenovo ThinkPad P71 is a 17.3-inch mobile workstation running Windows 10 Pro. It combines an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 1TB hybrid drive with a dedicated NVIDIA Quadro P3000 graphics card.

Suits certified-app users, not ultraportable buyers

This system targets professionals who rely on ISV-certified applications for 3D rendering or complex multitasking. The fingerprint reader and smart card reader add hardware-level security for controlled environments. Buyers needing a lightweight device for frequent travel or a modern high-refresh display should look elsewhere.

Quadro P3000 6GB decides professional fit

The NVIDIA Quadro P3000 with 6GB of video memory is the specification that determines suitability. It provides certified driver stability for professional visualisation workloads that consumer GeForce cards do not guarantee. If your software stack requires that certification, this GPU meets it; if you only need general-purpose compute, the workstation GPU adds cost without benefit.
