Mobile workstation for ISV workloads

The ThinkPad P71 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built for certified application performance. It combines a quad-core Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with 32GB of DDR4 memory and an NVIDIA Quadro M620M graphics card with 2GB of video memory. The system includes a 256GB solid-state drive paired with a 1TB hard drive for capacity. Windows 7 Professional is pre-installed.

Verify OS support and display needs

Confirm that your required software is compatible with Windows 7 Professional, as this operating system no longer receives security updates. The 17.3 inch screen uses a non-touch FHD IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 resolution and anti-glare coating. Ensure the single Quadro M620M GPU meets the graphics demands of your specific ISV applications before ordering.

Upgrade from consumer laptops or older workstations

This unit replaces consumer-grade notebooks that lack ISV certification, professional graphics drivers, or a spill-resistant keyboard with TrackPoint. The jump is worthwhile when you need workstation-class reliability, a fingerprint reader, and dual-drive storage in a 17.3 inch form factor for legacy Windows 7 environments.
