Mobile Workstation Core

The ThinkPad P71 is a 17.3 inch mobile workstation built for professionals who need certified application stability on the move. It runs Windows 10 Pro on an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor with four cores and a 3.8 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 64GB of DDR4 memory at 2400 MHz and a 4TB SSD for large project files. NVIDIA Quadro M620 graphics with 2GB VRAM drive the 1920 x 1080 IPS display.

Sustained Workload Behaviour

The Quadro M620 GPU is ISV-certified for over 100 professional applications, providing stable drivers for 3D rendering and CAD workflows during extended sessions. Quad-core architecture with 6MB L3 cache maintains consistent throughput when multitasking across heavy datasets. The 4TB SSD eliminates storage bottlenecks that can throttle performance during long write sequences. Integrated 4G LTE WWAN keeps cloud sync active when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

Build and Connectivity Practicality

The chassis includes a spill-resistant, full-size keyboard with TrackPoint for reliable input in field conditions. A fingerprint reader and secure chip provide hardware-level authentication without external tokens. Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 supports wireless collaboration during video conferences. The 17.3 inch anti-glare IPS panel reduces eye strain during all-day use. This configuration suits users who prioritise certified stability over maximum GPU compute.
