Questions about this item

Does the box include a power adapter or must I buy one separately?

The Lenovo ThinkPad P71 ships with Windows 10 Pro pre-installed, an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 500GB 7200RPM hard drive, 17.3" 1920x1080 IPS display, NVIDIA Quadro M620M graphics, fingerprint reader and 4G LTE WWAN.

Should I choose the 8GB DDR4 configuration or add more memory later?

The laptop arrives with 8GB DDR4 at 2400 MHz installed; the quad-core i7-7700HQ supports up to 64GB so you can expand later if workloads demand it.

What does the 3.8 GHz turbo figure mean for everyday CAD work?

The i7-7700HQ can boost to 3.80 GHz on active cores, giving short bursts of extra speed for 3D rendering or large assemblies while the Quadro M620M handles viewport acceleration.
