ThinkPad T14 G4 14-inch business laptop

This 14-inch ThinkPad runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core i7 processor with 16 GB of memory and a 128 GB SSD. The Full HD display measures 1920 x 1080 pixels and uses integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics. It is built for office work, web browsing and video calls.

Upgrade from older 8 GB or smaller-storage machines

Moving from a system with 8 GB of RAM and a mechanical drive to this 16 GB and 128 GB SSD configuration cuts boot time and lets you keep more apps open. The jump is worth it when your current laptop stalls on multi-tab browsers or large spreadsheets.

16 GB RAM and 128 GB SSD handle daily workloads

The memory comfortably runs email, document editing and several browser tabs at once. The 128 GB drive holds the operating system, core applications and a modest file library; it runs out when you store large media collections or multiple virtual machines.

Questions about this item

Does the 14.0 inch chassis have any user-accessible memory slots for adding RAM?

The specification lists zero memory slots, so the 16GB is soldered and cannot be upgraded.

What is the first step when reinstalling Windows 11 Pro on the 128 GB SSD, and what do people often miss?

Boot from the recovery partition already on the drive; the common mistake is wiping that partition before creating external recovery media.

Will the integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics need a driver update after the first Windows 11 feature upgrade?

Windows Update normally delivers the graphics driver automatically, but checking Lenovo Vantage after a feature upgrade ensures the latest version is installed.
