14-inch FHD touchscreen ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 is a 14.0-inch Full HD IPS touchscreen laptop built for professionals who need a portable Windows 11 Pro machine with a colour-accurate display. It suits mobile workers, students and IT buyers who value the traditional TrackPoint and a durable chassis for daily office tasks.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The quad-core Intel Core i7-10510U processor runs at a 1.8 GHz base frequency with a 4.40 GHz turbo boost and a 6 MB L3 cache. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics shares the 40 GB DDR4 2666 memory pool, keeping heat output modest during typical productivity workloads such as document editing, web browsing and video calls.

Connectivity and expansion reality

Three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports and one Thunderbolt 3 port handle data, video and charging through a single cable. A full-size HDMI 1.4b output, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5 mm audio jack and side docking connector cover legacy peripherals. The single memory slot is already occupied by a 32 GB module alongside 8 GB onboard, leaving no room for further RAM upgrades.

Questions about this item

How do I add RAM to the single DDR4 2666 slot when 8 GB is already soldered onboard?

Power off, remove the bottom cover, insert one 32 GB DDR4 2666 SO-DIMM into the lone slot to reach the 40 GB total shown in the specifications.

Which storage drive will I need to replace first if capacity runs out?

The 2 TB M.2 2242 SSD is the only internal drive; swap it for a larger M.2 2242 unit when more space is required.

What limits sustained performance first during heavy workloads?

The shared-memory Intel UHD graphics and single-channel memory configuration cap throughput before the quad-core i7-10510U reaches its 4.40 GHz turbo ceiling.
