14" FHD Touchscreen Ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 is a 14.0-inch ultrabook equipped with a 1920 x 1080 IPS touchscreen. It runs on a quad-core Intel Core i5-10310U processor with a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency and 6 MB L3 cache. The system includes 16 GB DDR4 2666 memory and a 4 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed for professional use.

Thunderbolt 3 and Docking Connectivity

A single Thunderbolt 3 port and three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports handle data, video and charging through one cable. HDMI 1.4b output connects external displays while Gigabit Ethernet provides wired networking. The side docking connector supports mechanical docks for desk setups. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth manage wireless peripherals without extra dongles.

16 GB Memory and 4 TB Storage Headroom

The 16 GB configuration uses 8 GB soldered plus one 8 GB module, filling the single available slot. Maximum supported memory is 48 GB, so future expansion requires replacing the module. The 4 TB SSD offers substantial space for large project files and local databases. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics relies on shared system memory, limiting 3D and heavy video workloads.

Questions about this item

Will the 8 GB soldered memory limit future upgrades beyond the current 16 GB total?

Yes, 8 GB is permanently onboard and the single SO-DIMM slot is already filled, so the maximum supported is 48 GB total using a 40 GB module.

Does the 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10310U quad-core throttle under continuous multi-threaded workloads?

Sustained heavy loads will push the processor toward its thermal limits, causing clock speeds to drop below the 4.40 GHz turbo frequency.

How loud do the fans get and how hot does the chassis feel during an all-day work session?

Under constant load the cooling fans become clearly audible and the bottom case grows warm, though the 14.0" IPS touchscreen panel itself stays comfortable to touch.
