ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 overview

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 1 is a 14.0" ultrabook built around a 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10510U quad-core processor with a 4.40 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 8 GB of DDR4 2666 memory and a 256 GB SSD, running Windows 11 Pro out of the box. The non-touch FHD IPS panel delivers 1920 x 1080 resolution for everyday productivity.

Ports and daily connectivity

The chassis provides three USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with Thunderbolt 3 support, HDMI 1.4b video output, a Gigabit Ethernet jack and a 3.5 mm headphone connector. A side docking connector is also present, while optional microSD, smart-card and nano-SIM slots may appear depending on the specific unit. Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth handle wireless duties.

Upgrade path and fit

Memory can be expanded to 48 GB using the single available SO-DIMM slot alongside the 8 GB soldered on board, and the M.2 2242 SSD slot supports drives up to 1 TB. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics relies on shared system memory, so the laptop suits office workloads and light content tasks rather than heavy 3D or gaming. Buyers who need discrete graphics or more than two memory channels should look elsewhere.
