ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 14-inch business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 2 is a 14-inch Windows 10 Pro laptop built around an Intel Core i5-1135G7 quad-core processor with 16GB DDR4-2400MHz memory and a 512GB SSD. It suits mobile professionals who need a light chassis with modern connectivity. Buyers who want a dedicated graphics card or a touchscreen should look elsewhere.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics and 2.4GHz base clock keep heat output modest during office workloads, web browsing and video calls. Fan activity stays low for typical productivity tasks, and the 512GB solid-state drive draws minimal power compared with mechanical storage. Sustained heavy compilation or rendering will raise temperatures and fan speed.

Bundled connectivity and software impact

Two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports at 40Gbps handle data, Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4 for external monitors. HDMI 2.0 adds a second display option, while USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports include an Always On port for charging peripherals offline. Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.1 provide current wireless standards, and Windows 10 Pro enables domain join and BitLocker encryption.
