Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 16" WUXGA Notebook

It integrates Intel Iris Xe graphics and comes with 40 GB of DDR4 memory plus a 2 TB SSD. The matte WUXGA IPS panel measures 1920 x 1200 at 300 nits and 45% NTSC. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed with a free upgrade path to Windows 11 Pro. A fingerprint reader, webcam and backlit keyboard complete the package.

Professionals needing integrated graphics

The system suits professionals who want a 16-inch business notebook with ample memory and fast storage for office applications, video calls and multi-tasking. Buyers who need discrete graphics performance for rendering, gaming or GPU compute should look at a different class of machine. The integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and non-touch anti-glare display also mean this unit is not for users who require touch input or higher colour-gamut coverage.

40 GB DDR4 memory configuration

The single specification that decides fit is the 40 GB DDR4 memory capacity soldered and upgraded at the factory. This amount is fixed for the life of the device, so confirm that your workload fits within this limit before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DDR4 memory in the ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 without voiding the seal?

The seal is opened for upgrade only and professional installation service is included, so have a qualified technician fit the 40 GB DDR4 modules to keep the warranty intact.

What maintenance will the 2 TB SSD need over time?

The solid-state drive has no moving parts, so it requires no mechanical maintenance; keep the firmware current and avoid filling it completely to preserve write performance.

At what processor speed does thermal throttling appear first during sustained loads?

The Core i7-1260P P-cores boost to 4.70 GHz, but sustained workloads will drop toward the 3.40 GHz E-core max once the cooling solution reaches its thermal limit.
