16-inch WUXGA ThinkPad

The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 is a 16-inch business laptop with a 1920 x 1200 IPS display. It runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Core Ultra 5 225U processor with 12 cores and a 4.8 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 16 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB NVMe SSD.

Who this suits

Professionals needing a durable 16-inch device for office productivity and video conferencing will value the MIL-STD-810H tested chassis, fingerprint reader, and backlit keyboard. Buyers who want a touchscreen, discrete graphics, or a lighter ultraportable form factor should look elsewhere.

The deciding specification

The integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits this laptop to light visual workloads and external display output via HDMI or Thunderbolt 4. Buyers who need GPU acceleration for rendering, CAD, or gaming require a model with discrete graphics.

Questions about this item

Does the 16" WUXGA IPS panel need a special VESA bracket to mount?

The ThinkPad T16 Gen 4 is a notebook with an integrated 16.0" 1920 x 1200 display, so no separate VESA bracket is required.

What is the correct way to reinstall Windows 11 Pro on the 1 TB NVMe drive?

Boot from a USB installer, select the 1 TB NVMe SSD as the target, and let Windows 11 Pro format the partition; skipping the format step leaves old data behind.

When should the 12-core Intel Core Ultra 5 225U fan and thermal paste be serviced?

Lenovo validates the T16 Gen 4 to MIL-STD-810H with 26 procedures; under normal office use the fan and paste typically last several years before needing attention.
