Business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad T450 is a 14.0-inch Windows 10 Pro notebook built for everyday office work and travel. Its Intel Core i5 2.20GHz processor and 8GB of memory handle documents, email and web apps without friction. Buyers who need discrete graphics for heavy rendering or gaming should look elsewhere.

Storage capacity and everyday headroom

A 256GB solid-state drive provides fast boot times and responsive application launches for typical business workloads. The 8GB memory ceiling means large data sets or many simultaneous virtual machines will push the system into swapping. Users who require more local capacity or higher multitasking headroom will need a different configuration.

Thermals, noise and power in normal use

The 14.0-inch chassis runs cool and quiet during standard productivity tasks such as word processing and video calls. Under sustained load the fan becomes audible but remains within typical office background levels. The included AC adapter and functional battery support a full workday away from a desk.

Questions about this item

Will the 14.0" 256GB SSD fit in a caddy that currently holds a 2.5" HDD?

The 256GB drive uses the M.2 form factor, so it cannot be mounted in a 2.5-inch caddy; you would need an M.2-to-2.5 adapter if the older bay lacks an M.2 slot.

How can I confirm the i5-5200U is running at its 2.20GHz base speed after first boot?

Open Task Manager, select the Performance tab, choose CPU and verify the reported base frequency reads 2.20 GHz while the system is idle.

Does the package include an AC adapter and are any cables sold separately?

Yes, an AC adapter is included; no extra cables are required for normal operation.
