Lenovo ThinkPad T450 14.0" business laptop

This Lenovo ThinkPad T450 is a 14.0-inch laptop built for office and mobile professionals who need a reliable Windows 10 Pro machine. It runs on an Intel Core i5-5300U processor at 2.30 GHz with 8GB of DDR3L memory and a 512GB SATA SSD. The non-touch display and integrated graphics suit standard productivity tasks.

Upgrade from a traditional hard drive

Replacing a mechanical hard drive with the 512GB SATA SSD removes moving parts, cuts noise and lowers power draw while speeding up boot, application load and file access. The jump is worth it when your current system feels sluggish during everyday multitasking or when you need quieter operation in shared spaces.

Sustained load on integrated graphics

Under continuous workloads the integrated graphics share system memory with the CPU, so performance scales with the 8GB DDR3L ceiling and thermal limits of the chassis. The 2.30 GHz dual-core processor maintains steady clocks for typical office suites and web sessions, while the SSD keeps swap operations responsive during extended use.

Questions about this item

What are the physical dimensions and mounting requirements for the 2.5-inch SATA 512GB SSD in this T450?

The drive uses a standard 2.5-inch SATA form factor and fits into the internal drive bay of the Lenovo ThinkPad T450 without additional brackets.

How do I install Windows 10 Pro 64-bit on this laptop, and what step is commonly missed?

Boot from the recovery media, follow the on-screen prompts, and ensure you install the correct drivers for the integrated graphics and audio after the OS loads.

When will the lithium-ion battery or 8GB DDR3L memory need replacement in this unit?

The battery should be replaced when runtime drops below your needs; the 8GB DDR3L memory can be upgraded to 16GB maximum if more capacity is required later.
