Purpose-built ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T460 is a 14.0-inch enterprise ultrabook running Windows 10 Home on an Intel Core i7-6600U dual-core processor at 2.60 GHz. It targets professionals who need a lightweight, carbon-fibre reinforced chassis with a 1920 x 1080 FHD display for daily productivity. The 8 GB DDR3 memory and 256 GB SSD provide responsive multitasking and fast boot times in a compact form factor.

Integrated graphics constraint

The only graphics engine is Intel HD Graphics 520 using shared system memory, so the laptop handles office applications, video playback and light photo editing but cannot accelerate modern 3D workloads or drive high-refresh external monitors. Buyers who need dedicated GPU performance for CAD, rendering or gaming should look elsewhere. The integrated solution does support HDMI and Mini DisplayPort output for dual-monitor desk setups.

Connectivity and peripherals included

Three USB 3.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260, an SD card reader and a SIM card slot cover most business peripherals without dongles. The box supplies the laptop, charger and battery so the unit is ready to deploy immediately. A 720p webcam enables video calls while the absence of a fingerprint reader means biometric login is not available.
