ThinkPad T460 i7-6600U 256GB SSD

This new 14.0 inch laptop runs Windows 10 Pro on a dual-core Intel Core i7 6600U at 2.60GHz with 8GB memory and a 256GB SSD. The 1920 x 1080 FHD non-touch screen, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, webcam and fingerprint reader complete a compact 13.3 x 9.2 x .8 inch chassis suited to everyday office work.

Suits mobile professionals needing a light

Buyers who need more than 8GB memory, a larger SSD, a dedicated graphics processor, a touchscreen display or a newer operating system should look elsewhere. The integrated Intel HD Graphics and dual-core CPU limit heavy creative or engineering workloads.

Dual-core i7-6600U processor

The 2.60GHz dual-core CPU defines the performance ceiling for this model. It handles typical productivity tasks and light multitasking but will not suit sustained heavy compute or modern gaming demands.

Questions about this item

Will the 13.3 x 9.2 x .8 inch chassis fit in my current laptop sleeve?

The body measures 13.3 inches wide, 9.2 inches deep and .8 inch high; compare those dimensions with your sleeve's internal pocket before buying.

Does the Windows 10 Pro licence activate automatically after the first boot?

A genuine Windows 10 Pro installation is pre-loaded; connect to the internet and it will activate without extra steps.

Can the 8 GB of memory be upgraded later?

The unit ships with 8 GB installed; the service manual shows one soldered bank and one SO-DIMM slot, so you can add a matching module up to the platform limit.
