Business Ultrabook

The Lenovo ThinkPad T460s 20F9003AUS is a 14.0 inch ultrabook built for business users who need a portable Windows 7 Professional machine with a high-resolution WQHD IPS display and integrated HD Graphics 520. It suits professionals working on documents, web apps and light creative tasks while travelling.

Sustained workloads

The dual-core i7-6600U processor running at 2.60 GHz alongside 8 GB of memory and a 256 GB SSD handles typical office multitasking without throttling during extended sessions. Integrated graphics limit performance in 3D rendering or video encoding, so the system is not for buyers who want more GPU power for heavy creative workloads.

Installation notes

The laptop arrives fully assembled with a backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader and 3-cell lithium-ion battery, so no internal installation is required. Memory is soldered and the single SSD slot may restrict future storage upgrades, which matters for buyers who want more storage capacity later.

Connectivity and ports

IEEE 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth provide wireless connectivity for office environments. The integrated webcam supports video conferencing, while the non-touch IPS panel delivers wide viewing angles for collaborative work.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i7-6600U get when the T460s runs all day?

The dual-core i7-6600U operates at 2.60GHz with integrated HD Graphics 520, a combination designed for ultrabook thermals; fan noise stays low during typical business workloads and the 3-cell battery limits sustained peak power.

What must I already own to start using this T460s 20F9003AUS?

The unit ships with Windows 7 Professional pre-installed, 8GB of soldered memory and a 256GB SSD, so only a power adapter and any external peripherals you prefer are required.

Will the 2560 x 1440 IPS panel and 802.11ac Wi-Fi work smoothly with my older dock and monitors?

The WQHD non-touch display uses standard video outputs compatible with legacy ThinkPad docks, while IEEE 802.11ac wireless connects to existing routers without configuration changes.
