Questions about this item

Will the Core i7-8550U throttle under continuous heavy load?

The i7-8550U runs at a base 1.80 GHz and can boost up to 4.0 GHz; sustained all-core speeds depend on the T480s cooling solution and workload.

How loud and hot does the T480s get during an all-day work session?

The chassis passed 21 MIL-SPEC tests for reliability in harsh environments, indicating robust thermal engineering for extended use.

What peripherals or accounts are required to use the fingerprint reader and WWAN?

The match-on-chip fingerprint reader works with Windows Hello on the installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit; the 4G LTE WWAN needs an active nano-SIM and data plan.
